I need a way to take the start of a serial signal into a pulse that ends once the signal stops.?
So I have a serial eeprom and I need to take the serial address signal to make a pulse that rises from low to high once the address signal starts and falls when it is done. Is there a simple way to do this? Thanks in advance!
you just OR the serial stream or trigger a latch
and a monostable times out when the data finishes
BUT what if the data is mostly low (0’s)
you wont see it start and you wont see it stop
That’s why they are other signals to say data is ready
and why there is a frame and a clock (or some similar arrangement)
