I have two antennas ; VHF antenna & UHF antenna , how to fix them into one? thank you?

Go along to your local Electronic store and buy a 75ohm diplexer. will cost around $10 !. take off the cover and you will see where to connect the VHF and the UHF antennas plus the single downlead !!! easy !! Cheers Pete.
Note to Peachy and other reply . The 75ohm TV diplexer is specifically designed for the above purpose with millions in use all over NZ, Australia and other country’s.

Just read your answer Bladecn , we are talking tv reception not transmission, a single vert dipole only radiates the frequency of that which it is cut to lenghth for, it radiates this in all directions, time for you to get the basic books out again and start reading !!!Pete

Bigger not always better

When you buy a new TV, stereo, or sometimes vacuums, and lamps, could be bigger … better. With computers it is not always true. You really have to be careful. A bigger, faster equipment is ideal for making music CD or working with home movies. A large team is also ideal for corporate use, where storage and retrieval of large volumes of data is needed every day, all day. If you are in game, you probably want the biggest, fastest computer you can get. A team game.

There are some good reasons not to have access to these large computers. For the reasons that have made computers smaller slow processors are preferred.

One of the reasons for having a slow computer is in the occupation of the two-way radio services. That's right. Two two-way radio now days are no longer crystals They like the old. Today, two-way radio to find taxis, fire trucks, police cars, buses and security services are all " programmable radio. Do not use crystals.

Now when you buy a two-way radio, comes with a CD and a programming cable to connect to a computer so you can program the radio to the frequency on its FCC license. But beware! If you use a computer every day with Windows on it to do this can ruin radio. A $ 700.00 to $ 2000.00 a radio can afford to do this? Probably not.

Majority RSS software is intended for use with a system MS-DOS operating on a computer running nice and slow. This is why two-way radio shops to buy 286, 386 and 486 computers with slow processors. Vintage computers like this if you are on sites like Ebay, no long list if they still work, because radio programmers are buying up.

When programming a two-way radio, take into account the radio, but its transistor, is not an actual computing device. It can not be force fed. You need a bit more time to process what you're doing. The perfect computer program for two-way radios are the 286 old, 386 and about 486 computers running MS-DOS, Windows does not.

Think of it this way. A human mouth is the only place that takes things to be processed as nutrients. When you or I eat a double whopper, take a moment to do. Although the full set is there, it takes time to put them away. You do not try to swallow the lie double all in one gulp, what then? You get stuck and die. Two way radio programming is the same principle. It must be slow and steady.

I saw someone burning to know really Motorola nice because it used a Windows computer to test and program the radio. I told him not to because his team was quick to the radio. He insisted that he knew what he was doing. So I sat in the chair in the room and watched. It was not long before he was in a surprise break. He took the radio test the switches and hitting … then slowly watching it than me. Simply saying "congratulations you just reinvent the brick." He said: "I'll get it fixed. He called the local center for Motorola and walked through everything he did, then hung up in disappointment as I said "Well." He said: "They told me that radio is garbage. It can not be fixed."

Bigger is not always better. When two radios programming way, use an old slow computer that does not has Windows on it. This is an example that I personally maintain work equipment in hand harvest. Never know when you need it.
