Vhf Black

I have West Marine VHF radio. Can anyone tell me how to wire this unit.?

It has a red wire, a black wire, and two solid core grey wires coming from the connector. Coming out of the radio there is a red wire, a white wire, and two black wires. I have a suspicion that the to grey wires coming out of the connector have been replaced (different style wire). Can anyone help? Model is Aurora Plus. Thanks

Red – battery. It’s probably a bigger gauge , yes. It is also the B+ for the amplifier ( RF ) so make sure you have enough current behind it. Black – chassis grnd. Grey will be the audio wires. White will probably be an ignition sense – radio on / off with the key. E mail me if you need anything else
