Capactiance of tuning capacitor?

What is the capacitance range (in Farads) of a typical FM radio tuning capacitor?
Thanks guys, follow up:

Is the tuning capacitor generally polarized? Is there a device that can measure capacitance?

I’m not sure, but I think it is 11-44 pF, and around 21-235, or maybe 330 pF for AM.

In this FM design, it is 15-120 pF:

Have you looked inside the engine compartment of your car lately? It seems kind of foreign and inaccessible as a computer – not very mechanical. Recognize anything here? I bet you can not find the mass airflow sensor or throttle position sensor. Did you even know you had this? What about spark plugs Power? They have to be there, right?

Motors certainly become more complex over the past 20 years, yet the show directed Now a team – the control module or PCM powertrain. To diagnose a problem in your engine, all you need is a $ 20,000 device that plugs into your PCM and tells you what went wrong. Of course, once you find the offending party must improvise his patience and some metric expensive tools to go where no man or woman has gone before. Make a mistake and your engine to $ 10,000 can be the trash. No wonder the Do-It-Yourself crowd is an endangered species. Meanwhile, service centers continue to evolve in order to care for the Do-It-for-me generation.

However much the automakers would like to think that their cars are maintenance free, in fact, are not. All cars even need tune-ups. But the kind of tuning is changing refrigerant replacement used, points and plugs approach the 1950 and 1960 to a preventative maintenance approach today. Often the parties shall be represented in perfect harmony today-up to avoid a catastrophic failure later. Automakers know what parts are and list them in their scheduled maintenance program.

The tune-up prevention has taken a turn greener in the last 5 years. And now we have experienced $ 4 gasoline the U.S., we know it's only a matter of time before the high gas prices become a permanent reality. We can not know with certainty that global warming is upon us, but we will not wake a hot day. And we are convinced that without our thirst for oil, the Middle East would be a friendlier place. As result, more and more motorists are investing in eco-friendly replacements of automobiles provided by the parties in what might be called a melody Eco-Up.

The Eco-Tune Up is an image change into fuel for your car with the intention that it is environmentally better than new. Includes air filters for high efficiency synthetic oils with additives in oil, rotate and balance tires with pressure gauges installed. You can go so far as to reschedule the car's computer with the most points of return for efficient use of fuel and air: fuel gauge. It could include a conversion kit for your car E85 ethanol use.

But perhaps the easiest, most profitable product eco-Tune is a complementary pulse. Pulse plugs are the latest in the candles, the last vestiges of the 1950 Tune Up: condenser, points and plugs. The plugs have hung around 50 years with little or no improved despite advances in electric motor.

Pulse plugs, moreover, have taken advantage of recent advances in pulsed power technology, the science of compression efficiency of electric power. Whereas all the spark plugs only 50 watts of peak power, pulse plugs over 500 watts. And like another revolution of automotive replacement auto parts supplied audio with high power components aftermarket, more watts, the better the performance. Pulse plugs ignite more fuel efficient, resulting in better fuel economy and emissions of greenhouse gases.

Best of all, the Pulse plugs are a simple drop-in replacement for spark plugs. Your engine computer is very smart and recognize and adapt to technology been introduced. You can expect that with better acceleration, more responsive throttle. When you are standing, you will be rewarded with a average 6% improvement in fuel economy. During the 50,000 mile life of pulse plugs, can reduce greenhouse gases to in a 1 to 2 tons.

Pulse plugs an average cost of $ 280 while the spark plugs installed cost of about $ 180. However, new spark plugs will not improve performance or fuel economy of your car. Pulse plugs are actually the most profitable product you can install on your vehicle, providing a immediate return on investment. So if you are looking for additional mpg or a better car performance, pulse plugs should be at the top of the list, regardless what kind of tone up to the side.
