Is it expensive to replace an ignition coil or switch on a 94 bonneville?

I have been diagnosed on yahoo answers that I may need an ignition switch or coil on my pontiac..also possibly a module..what kind of expense can I expect on each of these>?

Judy, Judy Judy,
I am sorry I didn’t see your post.
These three items are all over the place. Feel free to e-mail me I will try to help
The ignition switch will cause the car to not turn over
The coil works the spark for the plugs
The module tells the spark where to go and when.
Replacing any of the single items will run around 200 for the job. But I would like to see what the actual problem is.

For those who can not profess a comprehensive understanding Jeep ignition system, much less of a superficial knowledge any of her party-which basically means, how it works why it still exists, for starters, now is the time to catch up with a series of facts that have long existed in the known universe. The ignition assembly Jeep has a cornucopia of target = "_blank"> Jeep ignition coil, spark plugs and batteries, along with other devices that are under the hood of the Jeep. This is the predominant responsible to provide the spark that ignites the air fuel engine cylinders PF Jeep. For the spark to get to the spark plug electrodes, the potential for 12-volt electrical system must be turned on until it reaches a level of about 20,000 volts. This in turn is produced through a circuit that runs from the battery with one hand it attached to the chassis and then passes through the ignition switch to the primary coil before it finally ends at the switch. The high terminal secondary coil voltage leads to a distributor who acts as a rotary switch, connect the coil to each of the cables that hook to the spark plugs, one after other. Having enough of the basics, you have to have realized the need not only the Jeep's ignition control system, but more importantly, Jeep Jeep-kept ignition parts like ignition coils, batteries and candles in excellent working condition. Therefore, you should always make an effort to ensure that jeep ignition coil, spark plugs and batteries exhibit just such behavior to avoid car accidents in the future.
