Can I set-up my Kenwood TH78A as a trunking scanner?

I got the unit second hand, and don’t have manuals. Does the Kenwood TH78A support trunking? I’m in Journalism, and am interested in using the same hand held I carry for HAM stuff as a police scanner.

It doesn’t appear to be able to be a trunking scanner according to the manual.

The rear cargo area is definitely one of the most useful parts of any vehicle. This is where owners of vehicles travel bags and other things you want to carry. Because the rear cargo area is often used, vehicles, especially heavy-duty models are equipped with an accessory that can improve the functionality of the cargo area. This device is called the prop trunk.

The main function of the trunk is the strut to hold the hood back up whenever that the vehicle owner has to upload and download something to and from the cargo area. It uses a hydraulic discharge of tension to keep the trunk lid open. The trunk strut is comparable to the strut that vehicle owners or mechanics use to examine the suspension system. The only difference is that the depth employed for the suspension system is larger than the depth of the trunk.

Depth of trunk is a car accessory that makes loading and unloading much easier to move the vehicle owners. Many car owners may not be its importance, but without the depth of the trunk, bringing along the baggage charges or during a journey can never be easy.

Most trunk struts are designed to withstand frequent use and long lasting. But like other parts of the car, this device is prone to damage. Do not keep the trunk lid open can be attributed to a faulty trunk strut. When this malfunction of the device, its replacement by a new one is the only solution. On the other hand, owners vehicles should not worry about the replacement. Removing and replacing defective trunk struts is quite simple. To prevent premature damage of the trunk strut replacement must be established on both sides of the trunk, so that the rear hood can have a strong support of vehicle owners every time they want to keep the trunk open.
