On a TV antenna Installation job, is it OK to ask the installer if I can supply the Antenna, Rotor and Amp?

Obvioulsy they want to make a profit. I can get all the major components much cheaper. I just need them to install. Funny thing this guy did not even want to ground the antenna against lightning strikes.

You not only may need a different installer, but you might want to reconsider the amplifier. It’s not something you want unless you know that there is a compelling need, and if you’re buying a new and better antenna and giving it the best possible outdoor installation, chances are good that you don’t need it. If a dealer is trying to sell you one, it may be primarily because he wants to sell you one.
