Why have some teams won three Super Bowls in four years but never three in a row?
The Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots come to mind, having won three Super Bowls in four years. But no team has ever won three consecutive Super Bowls. Why can some teams get 3-for-4 but never 3-for-3?
There are a ton of factors, I know, but it just seems like it would have happened at some point in history.
Nope not yet, the margins for differences in team strength are so small in pro football, really truly any team on any given Sunday. Even teams at the bottom of the league, they still are better then you’d think.

2009 will be the fourth time that the Bay of Tampa will host a Super Bowl game and the second set, to be held at Raymond James Stadium. The game will be broadcast on the NBC television network and also radio by CBS Radio / Westwood One in English and Spanish. Preparations for Super Bowl XLIII game have already been in place, which began last year with the planting thousands of trees to help the "Green" Super Bowl. This action was taken to offset the emissions that are caused by the next event of the Super Bowl XLIII. The NFL and Super Bowl Committee partnered with the Marines and the organizations of the Forestry Division to plant 700 trees in one gallon red mangrove along the coast of Terra Ceia in Tampa. Dozens of volunteers and young people joined the team to plant these trees in two different places in the Bay Area.
The last game of the event was the Super Bowl XLI was played on 4 February 2007, at Dolphin Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Indianapolis Colts of the AFC, AFC champions, who defeated the Chicago Bears National Football Conference, the National Conference for 29 to 17. This was Colts first appearance in a game Super Bowl since 1970, when they won Super Bowl V, held at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. Baltimore Colts defeated the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football Conference, with 16 to 13 as the football results.
This Super Bowl Sunday 2009 will bring more excitement when the game will more than 100 million viewers worldwide.
