Are racing style motorbikes comfortable for everyday riding?
I am about to buy a motorbike and I prefer the handling, style and power of a racing motorbike – ie, Honda CBR600 or Yamaha R6 or Suzuki GSXR. However I plan to mainly use my bike for everyday riding. Are these types of bikes uncomfortable to use for this purpose, and would I be better off getting a bike where I can sit more upright for everyday use?
You might want to compromise a little – there are bikes with streamlined styling that are just a little more suited for everyday use. The Suzuki GSX650F is a good example. So is the Yamaha FZ6R or the bike Kawasaki calls the Ninja 650R in the US and ER-6f everywhere else.
Any of those would make a far, far better everyday mount than the all-out sports bikes you are looking at
