i just bought a used radio shack police scanner and i can only program one channel?

if i try to program more it says error and its a multiple channel scanner. is it broke?

you probably was suppose to get one that catches High Definition stations. since t.v. statioins and radio stations are converting – now scanners are part of the group.

pay me no ‘ttention; I’m just being foolish and silly.

Consumers are not the only ones worried and taking steps to protect against identity theft. Many states are taking important steps to protect its residents. Some of these measures include stricter penalties, sanctions and fines on careless companies and providing their residents with many tools to correct the mistakes that caused the identity theft.

Many consumers from identity theft intelligent are: installing anti-spy ware, using shredders, reducing the use of your social security number and use the service to stop junk mail and applications for credit cards. But what about the actions of others? After all the care you take to protect yourself, what happens when others, such as companies or suppliers services do not?

Companies that have access to your information are not always looking. It's too easy not to simply throw your personal information significant distance, to take steps at times expensive than professionally removed. However, many states are looking out for your best interests, especially when it comes to identity theft. Texas has a growing reputation for being proactive in preventing identity theft and hard penalizing companies that fail to protect the consumer. According to 2006 state statistics on identity theft, Texas ranks fourth in the area of theft identity. States are ranked according to victims per 100,000 people, and it should be noted that Texas also has more people in many other states. The ten states with the most victims of identity theft per capita are: Arizona, Nevada, California, Texas, Florida, Colorado, Georgia, New York, Washington and New Mexico.
