What other chemical evaporates as quicky as isopropyl or rubbing alchohol?

In the 1980s Radio Shack distributed a record cleaning protectant that they no longer make. When sprayed on the surface of the vinyl, the fluid QUICKLY evaporates right before your eyes. However, although no ingredients are listed the label says “non flammable and non toxic” and has a kind of “plastic” smell that seems to have a residue feeling on the hands after use – so that rules out Isopropyl Alcohol – but what other clear liquid dissolves or evaporates on contact?

I’m sure that ethanol, methanol and propan-1-ol all evaporate at about the same rate.

This website says it has methanol and was recalled.

Sorry – that first website talks about a VIDEO HEAD cleaner. Apparently you should not use methanol to clean vinyl records. The searchwarp people buy their cleaning fluid from www.nittygrittyinc.com.
