What is the best place to find a new radio for my 2004 Saab 9-3 Linear?

My radio no longer works, and I’m afraid I need a new one.

What exactly happened when your radio stopped working? Was the the display for the radio still showing and the sound just stopped? Did you still hear the chime for the turn signals and key reminder? If you have no sound from the radio but the display is there and the sounds for turn signal and key are absent then you most likely have a break on the O-bus (optical communication bus). In this car it is probably an amplifier. The amp. is under the driver’s seat and is very prone to moisture. A junk yard would be a good place to start in finding a used amp.(just make sure it doesn’t show signs of corrosion on the exterior). You will also have to take the car to a dealership to allow the new component to be “added” to the car.

P.S. The component that looks like your radio really isn’t the radio. It is an Infotainment control module, the radio is an Entertainment control module and it is under the infotainment module behind the heater control.
