What is a good cb radio base antenna?
Hello
I am getting a cb radio for my house and I don’t have too much experience with this stuff so I want a simple easy to set up (and not too big) Cb base antenna. I would rather not get a big huge one thats a pain to ajust. I would rather get a easy to use antenna that I can take down easily. What would you recomend?

Many networks in organizations suffer from a lack of time synchronization between servers, workstations and other network components. This can lead to problems processing time-critical information and transactions. However, the solution has been available for many years in the form of NTP, Network Time Protocol. NTP can be used to synchronize network time clients to an accurate time reference, or the NTP server. A stratum 1 NTP server syncs to refer to a calendar necessary external parties such as GPS or time and frequency radio transmissions and provides a precise time resource to a local area network.
There are a number of specific references available external calendar, the GPS be better known. However, many countries also offer a radio time and frequency reference that can be used to time synchronization. In the UK, the time of the MSF radio signal is broadcast from Anthorn, Cumbria, at a frequency of 60 kHz. The German DCF-77 radio transmissions to be transmitted from Frankfurt to 77.5 kHz. U.S. Weather WWVB radio transmitting reference in Boulder, Colorado, 60 KHz. There are also a number of other countries providing similar time references. Most operate on different frequencies emissions and encode the data differently and therefore require different antenna tuning and decoding firmware.
Radio broadcasts have a large finite time and is generally limited to national boundaries where the issue arises. Timing references GPS can work anywhere in the world. However, the advantage of radio is generally a good sign, you can get inside near the server machine NTP time, while a GPS antenna requires a clear view of sky. This can significantly reduce installation costs and simplify server deployment NTP.
A NTP server-based radio is usually a time server rack mount, and a separate radio antenna. The radio antenna is used to receive time and radio frequency transmission. The antenna must be located in an area where a coherent signal can be received well.
There are a number of factors that can affect the time of radio signal reception. If the radio antenna is located underground or in a basement, the signal reception can be significantly affected. If the antenna is located inside a metal frame or box, again this can also affect signal reception. Also, if the antenna is located very close to "electrically noisy" equipment such as PC monitors, can affect the reception. However, in general, provided that the antenna is at least 1 meter from a computer monitor, the reception is not affected.
Most time and frequency radio receivers consist of a ferrite, or the bar antenna contained within a plastic box. The ferrite antenna generally runs along the antenna box. Ferrite antennas are antennas that have a unidirectional orientation ideal. The ferrite antenna must be mounted in a horizontal plane perpendicular to the source of the code transmission time. For example, if the source of the transmission is north of the location of the antenna, the ferrite antenna must be mounted horizontally, pointing east-west, at right angles to the North. In this orientation, the ferrite has the largest area perpendicular to the transmission. If the antenna is broken, as the angle of the source of transmission is reduced, so that the sensitivity of the antenna reduced. Most time-frequency radio transmissions and continuously transmitted exact time and date information. The data are encoded in general, a series of 60 pulses, one pulse per second. Each pulse represents one bit of data that constitutes the date and time in a period of 1 minute. When a value of minutes, or 60 pulses have been received, NTP server can attempt to decode the signal. In this way a time stamp must be received by the time server once every minute. If the signal falls, or is poorly received, and then the resulting decoding will fail. Good continuous signal reception is required to provide a reliable time reference.
In summary, NTP server can provide an organization with a clear timetable of reference for synchronization of computers and network infrastructure. Synchronization time between workstations and servers is an important aspect of data and transaction processing in most operating systems. A radio based NTP server is a solution ideal that can be easily installed and implemented to provide a solution to the problems of network synchronization of computer time.
