What could the problem be with a mercedes c230 radio antenna?

The antenna on my radio for my Mercedes Benz c230 won’t go up for some reason. It was working up until a few days ago. The radio works okay without the antenna but I would like the antenna to work again. What should I do?

Either the antenna mast, which is replaceable and runs about 60 bucks plus a negligible amount of labor or you need to buy an antenna motor which is not cheap. Good luck
