Do pro racing simulator drivers have potential to be pro racecar drivers?

I am a racing sims driver with top times on forzamotorsport 2, dirt, and pgr3, I use a digital steering wheel.

It’s a little like someone that is good at Guitar Hero thinking they might drop by the local music store and pick up a guitar and then off they go! There is potential… but there is potential in many people for many things. The skills that are required to excel at a video game are not the same as real life.

Two of the most important things with racing are a driver’s sense of balance, and vision… two things that simply are not recreated in a simulator. If you’re you interested, give it a try… it’s massively better than the simulated experience (though also alot scarier if you loose it). So, if nothing else, take a trip down to the local karting track and experience the differences first hand.

Race Pro is a racing game developed by SimBin and published by Atari for Xbox 360 exclusively. The game uses the new Lizard engine while playing PC games SimBin Gmotor engine uses.
