What’s the biggest RAM module I can put in a pre-Intel iMac G5?
I have an iMac 20″ G5, purchased just before the Intel iMacs were released. It came with 512 MB of RAM built-in. There is one additional slot; I put a 1 GB RAM module there.
I know I could have put a 2 GB module in the extra slot (I wish I had!), but could I have put a 4 GB in that slot?
And any idea what that would cost? Are third-party manufacturers of RAM reliable?

Power PC G5
Processor: 2.4 GHz
Memory: 1.5 GB
DDRD SD RAM
(OS X 10.1.10)
