Will it benefit me to add a power amp to my current stereo setup?

I currently have a rotel ra01, 40 wpc integrated amp, my speakers are 50-100 rms bookshelf aurum cantus and im planning to get a behringer a500 power amp, its cheap and within my budget, is it advisable?

Yes, it will. The Rotel is unpowered compared to your speakers. Adding the A500 will make a difference. But be careful about cranking up the volume, your A500 will damage the speakers at full volume; the A500 has 230 wpc.
