can i use regular earphones of mp3 player to plug in a cell phone like Moto W775??

hi i am thinking about get a new cell phone. is it possible to plug in regular earphones for mp3 player into a cell phone like Moto W775? or i have to buy an adaptor or other kinds of earphones particularly for cell phones?

I have never known of reg ear buds working. It will either use the mini usb or a moto specific plug of about 2.5mm. It can be difficult to find them as well. You may want to call moto and tell them the ones you have are defective. Sometimes they mail out new ones for free. Moto- 1-800-331-6456
