How to turn off power supply in sleep mode?

When I put computer in sleep mode, power supply is still remainig to work. Since power supply is 900w and sucks a lot of power I would like set it to turn off by it self when nobady use computer…

Instead of putting the computer into sleep mode, enable hibernation on your machine and put the machine into hibernation instead.

Check the advanced settings in Control Panel for Power Settings, click the “Hibernation” tab and enable hibernation.

It will create the necessary hibernation file on your hard drive that will be approximately the size of the amount of memory that you have on your computer.

The next time you want to put your computer into standby, select “Hibernation” instead.

It will take a bit longer to start up, but you won’t be wasting any power.

SMPS is switched mode power supply or changing the mode of supply energy.

SMPS is a power supply unit (PSU) for use mail that contains a switching regulator. While a linear regulator maintains the desired output voltage by dissipating excess energy in a "pass" power transistor, the SMPS switches a power transistor in the rhythm fastest of saturation (in total) and cut (completely off) with a variable duty cycle whose average is the desired output voltage. This process gives way to rectangular wave, as a result that is filtered by a lowpass filter using inductor and capacitor.
