Cordless phones first appeared during 1980. The first cordless phones that operate at a frequency of 27 MHz had some problems. They faced some problems such as limited range, poor sound quality, noise and static. Lack of security is another problem they face. Therefore, people could easily intercept signals from another cordless phone, due to the limited number of channels.

In order to improve the problem of interference and reduce the power required to run wireless telephones, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) granted the frequency range of 47-49 MHz for cordless phones in 1986. The granting of a higher frequency range enabled wireless phones have less interference and require less energy to operate. Without But wireless phones still had problems such as limited range and poor sound quality.

During 1994, options were developed cordless telephones operating in the frequency range 900 MHz in 1994 introduced the digital cordless phones. Digital technology allows the transmission signals from wireless phones to be safer. This greater clarity and also made it impossible for radio scanners to pick up this frequency to listen other conversations. Thus, the interference problem was almost solved.

In 1995, digital spread spectrum (DSS) technology was introduced for wireless phones. Digital Spread Spectrum served as a complete new way of sending the wireless phone signal from the base to the handset. The digital spread spectrum technology that digital information to spread in pieces over several frequencies between the receiver and the base, bringing a complete solution to the problem of interference. Digital Spread Spectrum technology spreads the signal 360 degrees cordless so no dead spots and the distance went up half a mile. The digital spread spectrum technology was safe. Cordless phones using the technology as they were expensive, and were available in very limited options.

Both digital cordless phones and digital spread spectrum (DSS) cordless phones were aimed at improving the safety of wireless phones and decrease unwanted eavesdropping allowing extended telephone conversation digitally. In 1998, the FCC granted the frequency range of 2.4 GHz cordless phone use.

This frequency has greatly increased the distance over which wireless phones can work. In addition, the cordless phones that operate in this frequency range had further increased security. Cordless phones had reached its capacity is expected to offer better clarity, maximum security and without noise. In 2003, the FCC granted the frequency range of 5.8 GHz, and so far upward from this range being used. To enhance security, the FCC allowed manufacturers for phones with frequencies of 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz

Thus, wireless phone technology has vastly improved in recent 20 years. It is really surprising that the DSS cordless phone is available for less than $ 100 since 2000.

The FCC granted the frequency range of 900 MHz for mobile wireless 1990. This increased frequency range allowed people to enjoy wireless phones with best qualities. Cordless phones operated in the frequency range 900 MHz were more clear and had the benefit of increased transmission distance. The FCC also allowed 100 channels for these cordless phones. Although these cordless phones worked hard, were very expensive, about $ 400 to $ 500. 900 MHz was ideal for the scrapping of static problems interference. They provide the sound output of high quality, but they were still inclined to listen.

During 1994 various phone options Wireless operating frequency of 900 MHz range have been developed. In 1994, he introduced digital cordless phones. Digital technology allows the transmission signals from wireless phones to be safer. This greater clarity and also made it impossible for radio scanners to pick up this frequency to listen other conversations. Thus, the interference problem was almost solved.
