what is better about the wacom intuos 4 medium compared to the bamboo models?

i need to buy a graphics tablet but not sure which to get. i was considering the wacom bamboo pen and touch or fun but am now thinking that maybe i should go for the intuos 4? i am a graphic design student at the moment but i want something that will still be useful in the future. i also didn’t want to spend a lot of money. any help?

i forgot which one it was, but one the pen requires a battery, the other does not. go with the pen with no battery, it should come with a batteryless mouse as well. I have had my wacom tablet over a decade and the original pen still works like a champ, at the office I would go through a couple of pens a year (the battery versions)
