Should I get the Apex barrel or the Smart Parts Linear barrel for my Tippmann A5?
I could get the Linear barrel for $40 and the Apex for about the same with shipping and handling.
Which would you recommend?
In my opinion, by far the best setup for barrels for an A5 is a Special ops 12 inch or 14 inch C-Series barrel with an apex adapter and an apex tip. I have the 14 inch with an apex tip on my A5 and its very quiet because the barrel is carbon fiber. And also very accurate because of the Apex. (Its really accurate without the apex too) So i would highly recommend the C-Series barrel with an apex.

Linear Porokeratosis is a rare type of porokeratosis and is characterized by chronic, unilateral lesions of the extremities. Linear porokeratosis usually develops in childhood or adults can grow in life. The injury is characterized by abnormal keratinization healed or atrophic center surrounded by the boundaries of keratin, with histopathological changes including compact column of parakeratotic cells in small epidermal invaginations, which form the lamina cornoide. Occasionally there is a family history of linear porokeratosis or other type of porokeratosis and disseminated superficial actinic porokeratosis (DSAP), which suggests a genetic predisposition.
Porokeratosis linear affecting men twice as often as women. Many risk factors for the progress of porokeratosis have been identified, these factors include genetics, ultraviolet radiation, and immunosuppressants. Related immunosuppressive porokeratosis may be secondary to a disease process, such as HIV infection or lymphoma or iatrogenic suppression and immune-modulating drug used to prevent organ transplant rejection or treat autoimmune diseases. Symptoms of linear porokeratosis can develop in a linear porokeratosis patch.
Linear Porokeratosis can also be a basal cell carcinoma or squamous and is expected to arise in older adults. If a lump or sore appears within a porokeratosis lesion, arrangements to have it checked by your dermatologist. You may need a biopsy or cutting. There is no cure for linear porokeratosis and treatment is usually disappointing. Topical 5-fluorouracil can induce remission in all forms of porokeratosis. Treatment should continue until a brisk inflammatory reaction is obtained. Calcipotriol and tacalcitol have been proven to be a useful treatment of porokeratosis linear.
Sun protection is very important as exposure to ultraviolet radiation can result in the development of skin cancer lesions within of linear porokeratosis. Cryotherapy is also used in linear porokeratosis heal. Cryotherapy refers to a treatment in which the surface of the skin lesions are frozen. It is a minimally invasive way to induce resolution of a large number of injuries. Cryotherapy stings and may be painful at the time and for a period variable later. Can not be instantaneous swelling and redness. Surgical treatment is essential for porokeratosis lesions that have undergone a transformation malignant.
