EMT, POLICE, FIRE What are your most common and weirdest emergency calls?

EMT, POLICE, FIRE only please.

Can you tell me what your most common or craziest or weirdest emergency calls.

If you would please leave the name of the department you work for.

Law Enforcement sees anything you can possibly think of, but the most common for me are domestics and nonsense calls. The nonsense calls are are typically civil disputes that do not warrant police involvement, then we have to explain to the irate person that called us that they need to go see their local magistrate.
I find the weirdest calls are the ones involving the mentally unstable as I have had more than one person tell my that ghosts are trying to steal a television, aliens are keeping them awake at night, and the voices in their head predict the weather. Go figure.

It is difficult to assess the motivation of a person. It's even harder to challenge the commitment of someone in a medical profession. According to recent statistics from most instructors or the Emergency Medical EMT, as they are called, work on a voluntary basis. The Department of U.S. Labor revealed that the total number of EMT are trained to work in the fire department, about 80 percent of work so free. Also, the State Department of health claims that nearly 70 percent of registered EMT agencies in the United States on a voluntary rental. Before doing or refuse a claim see some figures:

Given the above statistics, remember that most of these EMT volunteers spend at least a month of training before being officially admitted to provide the necessary life-saving services. Moreover, professionals, among whom are seasoned passing rigorous examinations and licensing requirements to work as full-time coach medical emergency. It should also be noted that many states need to undergo EMT experience at least one year of study. There are also several training courses professional extends to two years.

Pay & Hours of Work of the EMT

Now add the fact that an EMT worker full-time earn on average, a lower base salaries in the nation. It is difficult to estimate the average for all workers in the EMT, but an estimate Approximate puts a wide range of pay between $ 19,000 and $ 33,000 per year. Only 2 percent earn more than $ 50,000. If this does not provide a grim picture then consider the long hours of work for the EMT. On average, an emergency medical trainer at a fire department typically works 50 hours. The hours are extended in a hospital setting. In hospitals, the average can be extended to 60 hours.

It's become a hobby for EMT or an obligation?

It is true that the formation of the basic EMT does not require a professional degree and be completed in a short period of time but that does not mean that volunteers and professionals joining the profession as a hobby. The above statistics are provided to reinforce the assertion that volunteers and professionals who undergo EMT training Basic are committed to serving the community and take it as their duty to fill the gap left vacant by the shortage in the health system. Most of these volunteers take the EMT basic training work with fire departments. Nobody in their right frame of mind will work in a profession as dangerous if are unwilling to assume their duty to save human lives.

More Proof

It should also be noted that EMT training basic need for firefighters, police and medical professionals. All these professions are highly respected in society and any attempt to bring a professional in these jobs to complete the EMT of necessity, it is difficult to prove. It is understood that the EMT basic training is only required in the professions which are considered the first line of defense against major disasters. This means that companies depend on these professionals with their lives. Therefore, further evidence requires that the EMT basic training in any department is taken seriously by a select group of people who have already committed to our welfare.
