What are some treatments for my dog’s peeled skin ear tips?

my dog’s tips of the both ears have these black peeled skins stuck to the tips. Any ideas why? can it be ear mites? i searched and nothing says ear mites causes that situation. there are treatments i’ve seen online about earmites, but what should i do to treat the tips other than taking him to the vet?
