what is the different between compact camera and subcompact camera. i want to buy dsc t100, what do u think?

help, i want to buy a digital camera, i want a good one, that can take good quality pictures, very good image stabilization, and can take great pictures. in my mind, i want to buy dsc t100..who have bought the camera can tell me your opinion. or u can suggest me the best camera in town..

I don’t know if there is a distinct line between compact and sub-compact or ultra-compact camera, but it seems to be something like 95 mm x 50 mm x 30 mm or larger are called compact and anything smaller is called sub- or ultra-compact.

I’d say one test is to ask, “If I put that in my shirt pocket, will it be a tight fit or will it practically disappear?” If they would fit at all, compact cameras would make quite a bulge in your pocket and ultra-compact won’t.

There is not a quality difference that I could ascribe to camera size, though. By whichever one fits your lifestyle. I own a few dSLR’s and a couple of “compact” cameras, but recently bought a high ultra-compact camera so I could have it with me most of the time without it being a burden to carry.
