What is the standard bit depth for digital mobile phones?

I’m trying to find the quantisation level used in digital mobile telephones and if possible a standard website I can source this information from for my report.

Sony Ericsson has decided to really show his. Groundbreakingly surprising is what some have called this phone with an impressive 12 megapixel digital camera built. A 12MP camera in a mobile phone? What is the point? – Well, this kind of resolution, you can take photos big enough to go on a poster poster (almost anyway).

After hearing about the target = "_blank"> Satie 12MP Sony Ericsson mobile phone is the camera that immediately occurred to me that with this high resolution camera, you must come a requirement of an extremely large amount of memory.
