Can you use a headset with the wii speak channel?

Im wondering can u use your own microphone head set with the wii speak channel? Because in settings it says mic so can i use it?

right now, you can only use the “all over” microphone. nintendo did not come out with a headset yet, and i know they will, because under settings, it says you can use either the microphone or a headset.
