Can mylar capacitors have internal damage when dropped?

Can mylar capacitors have internal damage when dropped? I assemble some electronic equipments that contain a lot of mylar capacitors. Sometimes I accidentally drop some pieces of mylar capacitors from the table (around 1 meter to the ground). I’m not an electrician, so I wonder will mylar capacitors receive some sort of damage when dropped?
Also, how about with resistors and diodes? Do they get damaged in some way when accidentally dropped?
Diodes – i refer to rectifiers such as 1N4007

Very, very unlikely. Mylar, disc ceramic and other small capacitors are pretty rugged. Still, they fail from careless handling just often enough to make a good technician careful.

Response to added details:

1N4007 is a common glass package, but is ruggedized like most board level resistors and diodes. These components are also light weight. They don’t often break by just being dropped. The usual failure mode before being inserted in a circuit (then, you’re on your own) is bending the wires too sharply, stepping on them on uneven surfaces, and so forth. They are all very easy to test with your meter. For a little better check, use a charging battery and resistor for the diodes and capacitors, and check their behavior on your scope.

Mostly, these components stand up well to life on the workbench, including the occasional drop to the floor. Put one of the diodes on the bench, tap it progressively harder with a hammer until it finally fails, or until your nerve breaks, and see for yourself.
