Like most R / C hobby, such as trains, cars or airplanes, remote control boats beyond a simple love of ships, but they embody the dreams of children of those who make and use these miniatures. A popular way to enjoy the remote control boats for racing models. Model Boat racing is a strenuous activity that requires skill, quick reflexes and a near obsession with speed.
R / C racing boat is, perhaps, surprisingly organized, complete with a (partially Federation) International, which has established rules and organizes events. Namba, or the North American model boat Association is the largest association of its kind. NAMBA has 20 districts in the United States and Canada, which organized local events to model boat racers.
A second major organization for the sport is the International Model Power Boat Association, or IMPBA, which was organized before NAMBA formed. The International Model Power Boat Association rules were actually copied by NAMBA when that organization was formed. Interestingly, the International Energy Agency Model ship and the American Association of Northern ship model that primarily serve the same area – the United States and Canada.
By competing in an event, either in or IMPBA Namba, to compete against other boats in its class, providing a clean race. The classes are determined by the overall design of the boat, fuel and both have a considerable effect on the speed of ships.
Events organized by these two organizations continue to oval tracks with buoys marking rounds. For sprint boats, short, straight tracks are used.
If you prefer the slower pace of sailboat racing there is also a association that organizes events for the wind ships. Radio controlled sailing events are governed by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF), the same organization that full-scale racing rules. The rules for R / C boats are identical in all the means at their full scale counterparts (the only difference is a special section specifically for R / C events).
ISAF recognizes four types of sailing vessels that can be used in events, the smaller the 'International in a meter. Just as its name implies, the boats are restricted to be 1,000 mm long. To keep costs down, the hulls must be comprised of wood or fiberglass. This allows housing very competitive boats.
The second class is the International Marblehead. Slightly larger than a meter 1 International, the maximum length of this class is 1,290 mm, with a maximum depth of 700 mm. The two major classes are the Rater 10 International and the International Class, which is the largest class R / C sailboats.
Finally, for those who enjoy building fast, agile, ships and have a (possibly unnatural) history of love with destruction, There is a competition designed for you. Although the fighting did not involve any type of racing, it requires the same level of concentration in racing events. These ship models are specifically designed for easy repair after it was sunk by competitors. Their helmets are made of shells raft can easily penetrate the boats, while speeds are maintained projectile to a safe level.
