Cincinnati Bengals History had Slow Beginnings

The Cincinnati Bengals started their franchise in football professional as a member of the American Football League in 1968. He became a member before the merger that combines both leagues in a league now known as the NFL. They began as a member of the Western Division of the AFL, and then transferred to the AFC Central Division in 1970. In 2002, his finisher was the AFC North. They play their games in Cincinnati at Paul Brown Stadium, and are coached by Marvin Lewis, owner and general manager, Mike Brown, leader of the franchise.
Cincinnati Bengals history began when Paul Brown (founder), was persuaded by Governor James A. Rhoades that the state of Ohio requires a professional team second. Cincinnati, was chosen for the location, which divided the state into two when it comes to supporting professional football. During the late 1930s and early 1940s, the American Football League had a team in Cincinnati Bengals call, which is what Brown did choose this name for their team in 1968. The zoo was also home to the rare white Bengal tiger, it is speculated that the reason for your choice. Some people believe that Paul Brown chose precisely the same shade of orange for his team that his former team, the Cleveland Browns, used in their uniforms, and he did it as an insult to Art Modell.
The helmet design, simply had the "Bengals" name in black letters on an orange background. This style was chosen over a striped design that looks much like those used today. When Brown was fired by Modell, upheld the rights of the teams. This makes it easy for him to turn his new team on the look-alikes of former Cleveland Browns teams. It maintains the same appearance until 1981, new helmet and a new design uniform was carried out for the team. Brown was initially discouraged by his purchase, because he signed to play in the AFL. Although, once he was informed that the team would be part of the merger with the NFL in 1970, established the team.
Hamilton County faces trouble finding a new Reds stadium to call home, the Cincinnati Bengals and needed a football field. This created many complications and difficulties for the teams, but eventually the problem was resolved with the construction of a facility unique in the river, which had been abandoned in recent years. The installation was scheduled for completion of the 1970 season and was rightly called, Riverfront Stadium. The inaugural season was played at Nippert Stadium, currently home to the University Cincinnati Bearcats. They finished with a record of 3-11, although they had the AFL Rookie of the Year in Paul Robinson.
Upon completion of the merger of the NFL, the Browns Cleveland moved to the AFC franchise, which was created mostly from the AFL teams that joined the NFL. They were put in the AFC Central with the Cincinnati Bengals, he created an instant rivalry, which initially was driven by team owner. Paul Brown named himself as coach, where he remained for eight seasons. They moved to Riverfront Stadium early '70s, it was a shared stadium with the Cincinnati Reds until 2000. They managed to reach the playoffs three times during the 70s, but had no luck to win playoff games. In the 1980s, the Cincinnati Bengals' history includes two appearances in the Super Bowl, but Unfortunately given the title to the San Francisco 49ers both times. Paul Brown died in 1990 but had already handed down from owner to control his son, Mike Brown. This started a difficult part of the story of Cincinnati Bengals, given that 14 seasons later losers. The team began to turn around in 2003, Marvin Lewis was hired to be a head coach. For the first time in 15 years, in 2005, did so again in the playoffs. Since 2005, Cincinnati Bengals history has not been good, but 2009 is showing promise in view of their record of victories and the most important games the Bengals have won for that record.
