Ed Bagley Top 25 poll – Weeks 13 to 6 Disorders ranking Scramble
AP Top Six teams of 25 games away from home can attest to how dangerous they are, all were upset during college football for 13 weeks of play, and 2 of the 6 face in the championship game of the Atlantic Coast Conference this week. Losers Distance included Georgia Tech, Clemson, Pittsburgh, Oklahoma State, Mississippi and North Carolina. These actions led to changes in my Top 25 Poll. Here's how I see it this week:
1) Alabama (12-0) – Give credit Crimson Tide. They were 8-0 to win the SEC West Division and went 12-0 on the season after beating her state rival Auburn on the road, 26-21. Alabama, now face the winner of the SEC East Division Florida for the SEC title and a shot at national championship probably in a game against Texas. The Crimson Tide must now get to do what he could do last year, defeated Florida. His chain was undefeated last year taken by Florida, and the tide never recovered mentally or emotionally, losing to Utah 31-17 in the Sugar Bowl.
2) Florida (12-0) – Give credit Gators. They were 8-0 to win the SEC East Division and went 12-0 on the season, following the issuance of rival Florida State back home with a defeat by 37-10. Florida now face SEC Western Division winner Alabama for the SEC title and another shot at the national championship game against Texas probably. The Gators Florida is the defending national champions, having defeated Oklahoma 24-14 for the title last year.
3) Texas (12-0) – Give credit Longhorns. They were 8-0 to win the Big 12 South Division and went 12-0 in the season survive in state rival Texas A & M, 49-39. Just win baby, just win Longhorns and he did. Texas now will face Big 12 North Division winner of Nebraska (6-2 in conference and 9-3 overall) for the 12 major titles, and a shot at nationals against either Alabama or Florida. Nobody expects alter Nebraska Texas, and if the Cornhuskers do is likely to replace TCU Texas in the national championship game.
4) Texas Christian (12-0) – Give credit Horned Frogs. They were 8-0 to win the title of the Mountain West Conference and 12-0 on the season to open a can of kick-um in New Mexico, 51-10, TCU to finish the first unbeaten regular season in 71 years. The Horned Frogs are now hoping that Nebraska makes it impossible for their shares rise. We will play in a BCS game if not for all the marbles.
5) Cincinnati (11-0) – still undefeated after beating Illinois 49-36 in a poor, and still faces a very good Pittsburgh team this week. The Panthers (9-2) capture Cincinnati at home and can not wait to hand the Bearcats their first loss of the year. Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly led the Bearcats to 10 wins in his first year and 11 wins last year. He already has 11 victories this year. Let's see, how that they count: 10, 11 and 12. Be ready, Panthers, Bearcats are quite poor also.
6) Boise State (12-0) – Still undefeated after beating Nevada 44-33 in a poor, and now receives a cupcake pass against New Mexico State at home this week. Yikes, not a good week to be a team 3-9 of the State of New Mexico. The Aggies do not, repeat not, a chance to beat Boise State in its territory.
Note: It can never be again in the next 50 years in college 6 large teams remain undefeated at this point in the season.
7) Oregon (9-2) – Idle this week. The Ducks are erected to win a Pac-10 title and Rose Bowl berth against the Ohio State (10-2) if they beat visiting Oregon State Beavers (8-3) in a winner takes all Confronting Civil War in Eugene. The once-again Oregon Ducks have lost only two games away from home-a 11-0 Boise State and 7-4 at Stanford, and played the hardest schedule in the 5 th country among 245 Division I teams.
Oregon State (8-3) – Idle this week. Beavers have only lost to Cincinnati (10-0), USC (7-3) and Arizona (6-4) and have played the 28th time more difficult in the country. The view Oregon Ducks Oregon State Beavers as road kill. Beavers, one team of foul play in college football, are not very impressed, they plan to legally hurt a lot of duck hunting, while a Pac-10 and shares title with a visit to the Rose Bowl to face Ohio State. Despite Beavers' dirty, the advantage is for ducks.
9) Ohio State (10-2) – Won the Big Ten title absolute. Next stop for the Buckeyes is the Rose Bowl against either Oregon or Oregon State.
10 (9-2) Pittsburgh) – managed to waste time on the road to a 8-3 West Virginia team, 19-16, at Mountaineer field goal as finished. Give the defense of West Virginia, some credit, kept the Panthers out of the end zone, Pittsburgh 5 units within the line of climbers from 30 yards.
11) Penn State (10-2) – Idle this week. Waiting to see if they have an offer to a BCS game. It's not a lock that the Lions of Nittany and have played the weaker second list (85th) among the best in Jeff Sagarin of 35 teams. Boise State only the much weaker-my-grandmother laments Western Athletic Conference (WAC) has played a weak schedule (91). This is why Cincinnati, if the Bearcats beat Pittsburgh, should be vaccinated against undefeated Boise State BCS. Only Penn State's two losses were to Ohio State and Iowa
12) Iowa (10-2) – Idle this week. The Hawkeyes are waiting in prayer and supplication for a BCS bowl bid, it can not do. Iowa just two losses were to Ohio State and Northwestern, Iowa beat Penn State.
13) Brigham Young (10-2) – Beat 9-3 Utah team 26-23 in overtime, became the second place behind TCU in the Mountain West Conference race.
14) Houston (10-2) – stomped a hole in the mud in the state rival Rice 73-14 to tie Southern Methodist (SMU) for the title of Western Conference USA Division 6-2, and the notch 10th win Pumas' season. From Houston beat SMU 38-15, must face against East Carolina (7-1 and 8-4, overall) for the U.S. Conference championship. Houston the nation has more scoring offense (45 ppg) and 83 th best scoring defense among the 120 major college teams.
15) LSU (9-3) – Beat Arkansas 33-30 in overtime. Offer Pending a bowl. Finished as runner-up Alabama in the SEC Western Division.
16) California (8-3) – Idle this week. He travels to Washington this week. The Bears, who only lost to Oregon, Oregon State and Southern Cal, played the difficult 19th calendar year.
17) Georgia Tech (10-2) – Lost on the way to Georgia 30-24. Winner of the Atlantic Coast Conference Coastal Division with 7-1 and will face Clemson, Atlantic ACC Division winner, the title of ACC. 17th most difficult schedule to play.
18) Clemson (8-4) – Lost on the way to South Carolina 34-17 to finish year. He won the Atlantic Division with AAC at 6-2 and will face Georgia Tech for the ACC title. Lost to Georgia Tech 30-27 in an away game during the regular season. The Tigers have played the 29th toughest schedule.
19) Utah (9-3) – Lost to Brigham Young (10-2), 26-23, in overtime. Finishes 3rd to TCU and BYU in the Mountain West Conference.
20) Virginia Tech (9-3) – Slammed in rival Virginia 42-13. Finished as a finalist for Georgia Tech in the ACC Coast Division.
21) Miami, Florida (9-3) – beat the rival Florida State and Bobby Bowden, 37-10.
22) Stanford (8-4) – Cutting of Notre Dame 45-38. Could be the best 8-4 team in the country. Played the most difficult schedule in its 16th again achieved national recognition. Earn Recorded at Oregon firm (51-42) and Southern California (55-21).
23) Southern California (8-3) – Beat on the state of his rival UCLA 28-7. Hosting Season Ends Arizona. Only losses were Oregon, Stanford and Washington.
24) Central Michigan (10-2) – which again became Northern Illinois, 45-31, half to win AFC West Division with 8-0 and finishing the season 10-2. The Chippewas made some noise this year, and will face Ohio, average American Division Champion East (7-1 and 9-3, overall) for the Copa America in half of the Conference. Central Michigan played a long time easier than the other teams in the Top 25 polls, but won 10 games.
25) Place in your favorite team. Make my own Top 25 this season been fun, but also has been a lot of work. After about staying out of trouble so far, I realized that last week ranked the state Oklahoma, both 13 and 22. The errors may occur. In my defense, Oklahoma State quickly went out and upset by his rival in the state of Oklahoma, 27-0. Clearly, my ranking 22nd for Oklahoma State was the most correct.
