A simple way to disconnect a machine from a HomeGroup

If you find the HomeGroup is useless and is sure to have downloaded or shared all the files you want, you can completely disconnect. But personally, I recommend that you stop a HomeGroup, because you do not need access to your files or printers can share files between machines. But if you choose to disable, I wll show you how to disconnect a machine from a HomeGroup.

Note: After leaving a HomeGroup, you and any computer users no longer have access to any shared data.

Leave HomeGroup

Type "HomeGroup" in the search box in the menu Start and press Enter.

In HomeGroup Windows settings, under "Other actions HomeGroup" do click "Exit HomeGroup."

On the next screen, click "Exit HomeGroup." You can choose not to leave, but change what participation here for which is something to consider if it is necessary to do so at some point.
