Amplifier Vhf

I have a uhf-vhf antenna with an amplifier. the converter box says I have no signal, I’m 50 mi. away, !?
Do I have to get a certain type of antenna, or do I need a different converter box
Having a VHF/UHF antenna is good. I’m not too sure about the amplifier at the moment, though. At least make sure that the amplifier’s power supply is working. Check for splitters in the line that may be blocking the power from getting to the amplifier. I assume you had the box scan to discover channels, too.
How old is your antenna? Older, weathered / rusty/ bent antennas will not perform well and need to be replaced. You need a good quality, VHF/UHF antenna. An older antenna will work if it is in good condition. The same is true of the down lead. It needs to be in good condition. If it is cracked, replace it.
Second, it needs to be properly aimed for maximum signal. Visit http://www.antennaweb.org . Based on your zip code, you will get a list of stations in your area that you could expect to receive, suggestions on the proper type of antenna(s) for your unique situation and guidance on where to aim them.
You need to make sure you are using a good enough antenna. I have seen cases were amplifiers actually prevent people from receiving stations. At 50 miles, you should be able to use a really good antenna without an amp. The amp should be a last resort. Remember, if the signal is noisy, the amp will amplify the noise along with the signal and you still won’t get the TV to decode. An amp should only be placed at the antenna to overcome excessive losses between the antenna and the TV.

Wireless microphones work well when it clearly defines what they are. The purpose determines the type of wireless microphone required.
Wireless microphones work by using different frequencies, or standard transmission technologies to replace the cable. In a microphone cable The cable is used to transmit sound from the receiver into the microphone to an amplifier or recording device. Sound travels as an electrical signal through Cable then converted back to sound waves. In wireless microphones, the electrical signal to sound travels through the air as waves or frequencies to a transmitter.
Wireless microphones can use radio waves such as UHF and VHF frequencies, FM, AM and digital patterns. Some low-cost models including the use of infrared, which requires that the transmitter has a clear line for the microphone.
There are two main types of wireless microphones use today. One is the handheld type, which comes with its own battery and transmitter and the other is a package body, which has the battery pack and transmitter separate microphone receiver, which can come in the form of a lapel, headset or other.
There are several things to consider when choosing a wireless microphone. One has to consider what the microphone is used for. From wireless microphones are often used for productions, sessions and live performances, the type of adjustment that will be used to help determine what type of wireless microphone available. A package body with a lapel microphone is ideal if the objective is is to use a wireless microphone, without being too obvious. A handheld wireless microphone can be used if it is not important if one takes the microphone.
Since modern wireless microphone to use frequencies to transmit sound, consider how many microphones are used when. Several microphones used can lead to a sort of combination of the signal. Wireless microphones that allow users to configure the frequency would be ideal so that no crossing signal and that everything will work correctly.
In the use of wireless microphones, one has to consider the fact that certain points or areas to inhibit the use of frequencies. These points are called dead spots, and there may be some in the area where the microphones are used.
One concern with the microphones Wireless is the range. Some wireless microphones are limited in scope, restricting the movement of the one using it. Wireless Microphones top can provide users a greater range of motion due to its stronger signal and frequency.
Another concern in choosing the microphones Wireless is the battery life. From wireless microphones are equipped with their own battery packs and are not connected directly to any outlet. One has to check the standard battery life of wireless microphones to ensure that last for the entire duration of use desired.
The wireless microphone type on the market comes down to two main categories. The first is the consumer or prosumer level wireless microphone. These products let enthusiasts, hobbyists and beginners trying to use wireless microphones for non-professional use. Consumer wireless microphones often sold as a complete and most often come in the form of handheld microphones with the shipper and receiver.
The professional wireless microphones grade are those intended for professional use. It is often sold separately as components that can be added to an existing set-up as a video or digital recording set-up. These typically cost more, but to compensate with better performance and changing values.
