My amplifier turns off in a higher volume? What can I do to fix this?

I have a kicker zx850.2 amplifier and two kicker compvr 10″ Dual 4ohm voice coils, wired in series with a recommended sealed box. When I raise the volume, the amp turns of and the protected light turns on for a few seconds and then the amp turns on again. It just started doing this.
