What kind of ac adapter/charger do I need to buy for my Dell Inspiron 6000?

I need to buy a new adapter. I bought one off EBay but it doesn’t work right. I tried looking through the Dell website but it’s ridiculous. Any idea what kind of charger I need so I can buy another one?
It works to keep my laptop on but it doesn’t actually charge my laptop so if the charger falls out of the back my laptop automatically shuts off.
